what utilities can I delete?

Hi
I just don't like the idea of having lots of unused apps on my HD. There are quite a few applications that are automatically installed in the Utilities folder that I never use--such as ODBC Administrator and RAID Utility and VoiceOver Utility and more. Which of these can I delete? Which are absolutely necessary to keep?

Hi! I would point out that you won't save any space since your utilities folder is probably only about 145 mb. The day might come when someone directs you to use one of them to solve a problem and if you've trashed them getting them back will only slow you down. I personally don't worry about tiny tid bits of information whose presence has no bearing on system performance. Tom

I wouldn't delete any of them. Getting rid of them could cause problems.

If you are so low on disk space that reclaiming even 100 MB of utilities will make a significant difference for you, you should get a bigger disk. Mac OS X will run very sluggishly if it does not have a good 10-15% if its total hard drive space empty and available.
