Cant add more then 4 or 5 songs at a time to Library

Reallly anoiing If I select a bunch of songs at a time to add to library on iTunes nothing at all happens. Nothing gets added. If I select only 4 or 5 at a time they add fine. Some individual songs will not add at all. I have tried updateing my itunes. Did not work.
