1st Generation ipod pre loaded music

Greetings

I had a first generation (5 GB?) ipod that came loaded with some songs. Where do I find a list of the songs that Apple pre loaded on their early generation ipods?

I don't recall Apple ever pre-loading music on the iPod before the sale. I think there were some legal issues with the record labels for doing so. Even the U2 special edition iPods came with a coupon for the iTunes Store for buying U2 music, not actual songs on the iPod. There were some promotional iPods that Apple gave to media types after the 1G iPod intro, and those came with songs pre-loaded (Apple also gave them the stack of music CDs to keep it legal).

But it's possible there was some special package during the early days, when there was no iTunes Store yet. But I don't remember any such packaging of iPod with music.
