mov to AVCHD converter? AVCHD capture?

How the heck do you convert a .mov file (h2.64) to AVCHD?
What im trying to do is burn a AVCHD file onto my dvd so it will play in my blueray player, since I dont own a blue ray burner. How is this accomplished?
I noticed my player will accept AVCHD on either DVD's or on a SD card (there is a SD slot on the front of my blu ray player.

Since I dont see a option to capture in AVCHD from the capture settings, Im assuming I need to just capture in H2.64 and then convert, but cant find a converter. Any ideas?

Toast 9 can do exactly what you are looking to do - but it'll have to re-encode your h.264 file since the h.264 spec used by Apple for MP4 is different than the h.264 spec used by HD DVD and Blu-ray.
