Mailbox is locked by POP server

Since upgrading to 10.5.5 Mail is playing up on the server. It locks down some clients down for 10 or 15 minutes at a time and gives the message "Mailbox is locked by POP server".

We have got onto iPhones with some of our users - I do not think that should be causing the problem.

Is anyone else having similar experiences.

I have the same exact problem, yesterday I upgrade the server to 10.5.5 and today the server is rejecting the conections.
I found this:
- All incoming messages are not redirected to the mailbox.
- When the pop user connect to the mailbox, they recivied all the messages stored in the mail box, but the message are not deleted from the mailbox, so when the users gain access to the mailbox again the recived the massage all over again.
- Nobody can access to the Webmail, nor the pop or the Imap users.

I tried to restart de server and recosntruct the mailbox from the Server Admin but no joy.
so I found this article i follow the instructions to reconsctuct the mailboxes and it worked. but with one stepback: When the Imap users or the Pop users that store the messages on the server al the messages they stored are downloaded again. But you can override this stepback by access the webmail user and mark the messages "read"
