According to the MPEG Streamclip home page, it supports the following source compression formats: MPEG, VOB, PS, M2P, MOD, VRO, DAT, MOV, DV, AVI, MP4, TS, M2T, MMV, REC, VID, AVR, M2V, M1V, MPV, AIFF, M1A, MP2, MPA, AC3, ...

However, be advised that MOV is a file container and not a compression format. So the question becomes, "Which version of iMovie are you targeting?" DV files will import into all versions. HD versions will also accept AIC video, as well as MPEG-4. iMovie '08 will import and natively edit DV, AIC, Motion-JPEG, Photo-JPEG, or compatible MPEG-4 or H.264 profiles along with an number of different audio compression formats. However, it will not import files with certain extraneous tracks like "Tween" or "Chapter" tracks.
