Canon MP360 Problems

I've just got my MacBook Pro. I'm loving it, have connected everything to it and the only thing that does not work is my Printer. I've got a Canon Smartbase MP360 connected through a USB cable. The Mac finds it but cannot find a driver.

Any help would be welcome.

Hello Steve,

In checking a couple of Canon web sites, I could not find a Mac OS X driver for this model. There also did not appear to be support for this model via the later versions of the Gutenprint driver set - unless I did not look hard enough 😟

However I did find that PrintFab (www.printfab.net) lists the model as being supported, so you can download a trial version of this software to ensure that it does work. Note that if it does work there is a charge involved with this software.

Yes I've tried the canon site, no joy I'm afraid.

I now have a working printer, thanks for that. It is a little annoying that I have to buy the software but better that than a new printer!
