E5462 update drivers???

I have the E5462 xeon chipset. I want to update the drivers from the intel site. But I cant find them on the dang site. Do they even have updated drivers for the chipset?

MacPro, Mac OS X (10.5.5), 2.8 (8X)...10GB Ram...640GB HDD/VISTA 32...10GB Ram...320 GB HDD

Hi Damballa,

E5462 is the 'name' of your quad-core processors not of the chipset.

Heres what's inside your Mac Pro:

2x Intel Xeon E5462 Quad Core Harpertown 771 LGA 45nm 2.8Ghz
Mainboard: MAC-F42C88C8 Proto1
Chipset: Intel 5400B Rev C0 (Seaburg)
Southbridge: 6321ESB

There are updated drivers that can be used, however they must be manually installed to your hardware and are designed for use on a SuperMicro board.
You will most likely not find anything on the Intel website for the 5400B chipset.
