nano resets to apple screen for no apparent reason

Has anyone else had this problem? It has happened to me twice in the last week. I will be shuffling through songs in a playlist and it will just shut off and go to the black apple screen. It will work fine after that, but I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Thanks.

Just happened to me for the first time.

Brent, I did the same thing. I tried to select MUSIC and it goes dark and the Apple Logo lights up.

Also, I had trouble turning it OFF for the first time today.

If you go to PLAYLIST it works fine, but each time I hit MUSIC, I get the shut down.

Sorry we are having the same problem. Sounds like a software issue to me.

The thing that bugs me is that it does not happen all of the time. The reset I have seen mostly occurs in 'Playlist' so others seeing a similar issue in 'Music' shows this is mostly likely a software problem. Has anyone taken this up with someone at the Apple store?

I will rest it to factory settings tonight and discuss it with one of the makeup wearing dudes at my local Apple store tomorrow and report back.

Had the same problem with selecting Music and having it reset. I have isolated it to podcasts. Load a podcast=reset on selecting music. Clear podcast and its back to normal.

I restored the sw and it worked ok for a few days then the problem returned. Went to an Apple store today and the Genius told me that it was a sw glitch and he's hoping that Apple fixes it with a new release shortly.
