I just got my iPhone on Thursday. I like to turn off my fell phones at night at charge them. I turn off my iphone and plug it in using the OEM charing cord. Then after about 5 seconds it turns itself back on. Then I have tried to plug in the iphone THEN turning it off...NOTHING happens. Is it charging? I would assume it would have something on the screen telling me that it's charging. Do I have an issue I need to deal with, or am I doing something wrong?

When plugging in an iPhone that is off - to your computer or with the wall charger, it will turn on.

To charge the iPhone when off, you must power it off while plugged in. There will be no indication provided that the iPhone is charging while plugged in and powered off.

Mine is always off when charging. You have to turn it off after plugging it in. If that's the way you prefer, and I do. I personally feel you should give it a break once a day. IMHO, you understand.

Ok, thanks for the quick answers.

Seems like there should be some sort of indication that you phone is charging, or maybe even that icon of the battery and how full it is.

I do agree it needs a break after hitting it hard during the day.

    Thanks for the answers!
