Quantize and shuffle?

Hey everyone!

I'm in my second year of studying Music Technology and I have a question regarding quantizing MIDI tracks. Let's say I do a song with a shuffle/swing feel, what quantization do I use, because I don't understand the what the difference is between (for example) 16a, 16b, 16c and so on. How are they different? I can't find anywhere on the net to answer this question so far so I came here, cause it's really bugging me. And don't say "just learn to play in time" because that's original isn't it? ¬_¬

Anyway Thanks in advance =]

p.s i'm using a mac but i don't know what version. most likely the latest or very close....

for listen the difference about 16a,b,c... just record sixteenths nots and test the different quantize type...
if you rec eighths, you must use 8a.b.c... quantize.

the C type is very near to the triplets!

you can see the result on the Event editor
