I've heard a lot of different theories on how to revive water-damaged iPods. You should search the forums--you will most likely get hundreds of similar posts. Methods I can think of off of the top of my head are:

1. Put in a warm bowl of rice in a warm spot
2. Put on a sunny windowsill for several hours
3. (probably don't try unless you're totally desperate) put in a warm oven on a towel with the door open for a very short time

These are only a few options... if you use the search option you will find many, many more.

One thing up front here: IT'S LIKELY DEAD.

Anyway, try letting it air-dry in a warm place. If you can open it up, do so. (Put away the blow dryer, you'll kill your iPod even more with it.)

Also keep your next iPod away from deadly water bottles.

What's strange is my iPod touch has survived excessive licking and has been drenched in Mountain Dew with no effect.

DO NOT put it is a "warm bowl of warm rice". You can put it in a baggie of raw (uncooked) rice and let it dry for several days.
DO NOT put it in direct sunlight. Put it in a warm, dry place, like a cupboard, and let it dry for 5 to 7 days. After this time put it on a charger, let it charge for at least 30 minutes, and Reset it while it is still connected to power. It may take several tries before it revives, then fully charge it. DO NOT try to charge it or turn it on before it fully dries.
DO NOT put it in an oven.
