MacBook Pro refuses to wake up... even after hard restart!

I am doing some work this morning, and I close my MCP like I always do. This time, it refuses to wake up. I've encountered this before, so I hold down power button to do a hard restart. However, this time the thing will NOT wake up, even after a hard restart. I try this multiple times and the **** screen will NOT turn on.

So I wait about an hour, and start her up again, and she boots regularly. I go about my business and close the lid again. Suprise suprise, **** computer won't wake up again. It's been well over an hour and now it refuses to do anything.

I've looked all over this board and there are many topics open regarding the display on the MBP and the 8600 graphics card, etc. Someone please help... I am trying to avoid taking this computer to Apple as it usually means I'm without it for weeks (last time the logic board died on my G4 PB, took 4 weeks to get it back).

Help?

Pete

If computer is still under the 1 year warranty and/or you have AppleCare, you can always request for a replacement until the repairs are completed on your comp.
