How to import Aperture library into iPhoto 08?

Until recently I was an iphoto 08 user and decided to try Aperture 2.1. I exported the iphoto 08 library into aperture. I'm overwhelmed by Aperture and want to return to the simplicity of iphoto. My aperture library sits on an external drive.

Please help! Thanks

The original iPhoto library should still be there; click here and follow the instructions for any remaining photos.

Niel, thanks! I dragged my recent photos into an iphoto album. Now, if I want to bring the entire iphoto library back from the external driveinto my iphoto program on my laptop what do I do?

Hi Niel, thanks again. I reviewed the link. I must be dense;-)

I want to move the entire iphoto library off the external drive and back onto my laptop so I can run iphoto and not have to attach the external drive. So, I closed iphoto, went into finder, clicked iphoto library file on the external drive, and dragged it onto the iphoto folder in applications. This did not work.

Is there a simple way to do this?

Quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library from the external drive to the pictures folder - launch iPhoto while depressing the option (alt) key and use the select library option to point to the iPhoto library in the pictures folder
