"D" Key Harder to Press Than Other Keyst
Hello everyone ~
I know I did a bad thing. I admit my mistake and humbly ask for forgiveness. Or, more specifically, I ask for a suggestion on what I should do next to fix it...
I replaced my MBP's original HDD with a 200GB HDD. I successfully dismantled my MBP, made the hardware swap, and was nearly done putting it all neatly back together. I was at the very end, just screwing the back casing on again, when one screw didn't seem to want to go in and (I know, wrong...so very wrong) I pushed a little harder and screwed a little tighter to get it in. I then quickly realized it was the wrong screw (too long for that particular hole) and put in the correct one and finished up the job.
The MBP works great EXCEPT now my "D" key no longer responds to the same feather-light touch as the rest of the keys. It works. It just requires a more deliberate key press.
So my question is what do I now need to replace to fix this? Did I most likely damage the keyboard and need to replace it? Or did I dent something else?
If anyone has any thoughts, I'd appreciate it very much. 🙂
