I have the Agent 18 case and love it. It splits in half to allow insertion of the nano without scratching it and has a removable piece at the bottom that can be removed to allow using the standard nano dock. It has a very nice feel and size, and makes the nano feel substantial without being too big, IMO. Some don't like the frosted look, but this keeps down on fingerprints and scratches. The only problem that I have with it is some slight molding lines in the screen area that are visible with the backlight off. It leaves the wheel open, so use a wheel protector (skin) if that is important to you. I use the EXiM protector sheets.
I also bought the Agent 18 cover and although I loved it with the 20gb color ipod, I was a bit disappointed with the nano case. It fits perfectly, protects great and everything. But what I was disappointed in was (1) I have the black nano and the case is slightly frosted so the true black does not show through (2) I don't like how the screen looks, there are two crease marks from I guess how they pour the plastic or whatever they do to manufacture the case, I was expecting the screen to be completely flawless (3) I think the extra piece at the bottom detracts from the overall look. I have bought an Xtrememac clear shield which is supposed to be completely clear all over and has a belt clip attached to it. I haven't gotten it yet but hopefully I'll be more impressed with that. IF YOU ARE LOOKING JUST TO PROTECT YOUR NANO AND YOU HAVE THE WHITE ONE, I THINK YOU WILL REALLY LIKE THE AGENT 18.
Yes, I agree about (1) except that a completely clear case, while showing off the nano better, is also going to scratch and show marks easier, and so is not going to stay pristine lloking for long. That is the advantage of the "frosted" look. It also is good at hiding the few marks that I already had on my nano. I mentioned the mold lines in (2), but they really don't bother me much anymore. And while I don't have a dock at the moment, it is nice to know that the bottom piece (3) will let me use a dock if and when I get one.
Everyone who sees my Agent18 case mentions the mold lines on the screen. But they virtually disappear when the backlight comes on.
I thought about the clear getting scratched, but (as my name may imply) I like glitzy stuff so I would be adding some clear rhinestones to my case anyway 🙂 I also agree that when the backlight is on, those annoying mold marks are not noticeable. I just think they could have done a better job. I also don't use a dock and probably won't so that's why the third piece is a bit annoying for me. But like I said before, I would definitely recommend the Agent 18 case as it has done everything it is supposed to do. And I like it a lot more than those silicone cases any day.
Just a little tip. Don't even touch the Nano until you get a case if you want it super perfect. When I got mine I knew it was easily scratches so I did everything in every possible way to keep in perfect. Yet I still failed 😟
Might as well wait till you get ur case.
Good luck :P

Use caution when putting the Agent18 cover on your nano. I slid my new nano, scratch free, into the agent18, and the cover scratched the screen and the face. The cover is fantastic, but use caution installing the agent18.
The Agent18 case comes apart into three pieces. It isn't necessary to slide the Nano into the case. Place the back on the iPod, snap the front on and then slide the small endcap on.
Does the Agent 18 case work with Apples Lanyard/headphones with the bottom cap on or off?
