My Click Wheel doesn't work...

I was recently playing my iPod when, in the middle of a song, it wouldnt let me change it. My click wheel wont register my touch and the middle button doesnt work either! I have tried everything BUT restore it, because it won't even let me transfer my music out of my ipod and into the library. It doesn't even let me make a playlist so i can keep my music seperate from my moms library. Help me please! I dont want to lose all of my music lol.
