A lot of crash: vmnet relaed?

Hi!
I've a MBP 15" 2.4 GHz, and in these days it crashes a lot of time. 3 crashes today... at now. It seams that all stars with vmnet errors when I'm using Safari and Transmission, ... than Airport menu crashes, then safari freezes, etc. etc.. so in a very short amount of time all the system freezes and i've to force shutdown (no KP however!)
I'm not sure about the crash cause, so there is a little parto of the infinite system log:

Transmission is a bit torrent and I would venture that it is giving you problems. So if you must use a program like that use Azureus. I personally would not trouble shoot any issues for anyone using a torrent.

Thanks, but it happens also when i don't use Transmission. And there is no Safari or Transmission messages in crash report. I suppose the crash is network related, because of the vmnet error.

Wow, nice soap box.

You are aware that there are plenty of legitimate uses for BitTorrent software right? Good of you to assume that our fellow poster is only using Transmission for nefarious purposes.

I've noticed some of these problems showing up on my mac too. I can't seem to pinpoint the problem. I recently put in a new drive, old one had bad sectors then one of my ram chips died so I'm down from 2 gigs to 1. Initially I thought it was just swapping a lot but this doesn't seem to be the case. I show 309 MB free and I constantly watch it in the top menubar area.

I see the spinning color wheel and it sticks around for 10-15 seconds and then goes away and my mac becomes usable again.

I captured output from system.log, once here:

Yes that is completely VMWare Fusion related - you can verify by uninstalling Fusion and trying to reproduce the problem.

You can also open a problem ticket with VMWare.

interesting, I did just upgrade vmware, forgot about that. I found a thread where you can shut down vmware:

/Library/Application\ Support/VMware\ Fusion/boot.sh --stop

I'll monitor and see if it still continues to happen.
