Boot Camp, Windows XP, Can't install Service Pack 3, "not enough disk space

When I attempt to install Service Pack 3, I get this message: "There is not enough disk space on C:\WINDOWS\$NtServicePackUninstall$ to install Service Pack 3". It says that I need 4MB, but there is actually 22GB available. How do I tell the computer that there is actually enough room? Thanks for the help in advance.

Rayson:

Try altering the Windows registry key as follows. Once it is completed then once again begin installation of SP3:

1. Click Start - Run - Type “regedit” and press enter.

2. Navigate to

HKEYLOCALMACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionSetup

\HKEY LOCALMACHINE
\Software
\Microsoft
\Windows
\CurrentVersion
\Setup

3. In the right pane, Right-click and select New - String value

4. Name it as “BootDir” and set its value to “C:\”

This should help. Try installing SP3 and should work fine.
