searching in an encrypted disk image

Does anyone know how I can search PDFs inside an encrypted disk image?

The problem is not to search the encrypted disk image while it is "closed", but while it is open.
I can open it fine, but then when I search for something that must be contained in some PDFs inside the disk image (using finder), I can't find it ...

Best regards,
Gabriel.

disk images are not indexed by spotlight by default.

You can turn on spotlight indexing on an individual disk image as follows. mount it and enter the following in terminal

mdutil -i on

do not press enter yet. press space. drag the mounted disk to the terminal window. press enter in terminal. the disk image should be writable for this to work.
