advice on buying new Mac Pro

How big of a difference is there between the 8-core 2.8 and the 3.0. Is it really worth the extra buck. Also, does anyone see any sign of blueray players coming standard in the mac pro? I know that cheap sony laptops are comming standard with BD players.

Ya the BD burners are super pricey... but i'd expect to see a player incoporated pretty soon.
