What was the ship time when you purchased it and when is the expected ship date?

It's not because of the demand. I got my nano today, only 3 days after ordering and I even got it engraved. I'd say if you don't recieve any new info this week, you should contact Apple.

Mine is also still processing... some 3 days later. I ordered mine from the Japan Apple Store.

The 2GB ships immediately but stocks of the 4GB are tight. Little Jess, did you get a 2GB or 4GB?

I went out this morning in Osaka (Japan) and the 2GB was available everywhere I went but no-one had the 4GB. The Apple Store in Shinsaibashi have none, and no idea when they will... as usual. They have their shelves literally full of 2GB's that no-one is buying.

I ordered mine online and got it the next day. Was so surprised, cos apple told me it's going to take 3 - 5 days to ship and an extra 2 - 7 days to deliver.

I ordered mine on Sept 9th from Apple.ca. It said 1-3 days to ship, for both the normal and the engraved one. Now the order says it will ship Sept 20, and is still 'Processing Order' on the 16th ! That is best case 8 days after it would said it would ship.

I am leaving on a trip on the 22nd and thought for sure I would get it, now it unlikey. If the truth was told on the ship time I wouldn't of ordered it online, which I guess is why they say 1-3 days.

Ordered the 2GB black nano (perfect capacity - for me anyway) Monday evening (Sep 12) at 10:00pm CST on www.apple.com. It shipped Wednesday (Sep 14) via FedEx (standard free shipping) from Chenzen, China (must be where they are made). Came via FedEx this morning, Friday (Sep 16) at 9:30am CST. All I can say is WOW - very, very fast for a product that had to be customized with the free laser engraving Apple provides.

I am extremely impressed with the easiness to order, the shipping time, and updates on shipping at Apple's website (so I could track at FedEx and not miss the thing!), and of course, the nano itself - what a beautiful piece of engineering this is. As Campbell's soup afficianados say, "MMMmm Good".

I ordered my 4GB online (apple.com) the day they were announced (Wednesday, Sept. 7). Since it said 3 business days I was hoping I would get it Saturday. The follow through via email was outstanding, letting me know every step.

Mine came via FedEx on Monday, Sept. 12, 3 business days as promised. I commend Apple on their order processing.

Ordered Tuesday (September 13)from Apple Store online, free engraving and shipping...and i'm now listening to the music. Was notified on Wednesday, September 14 that it shipped (from China) and arrived today (Friday September 16) in Washington, DC. Interestingly, the battery was fully charged, the date and time were correct for eastern daylight savings time as well.

Basic reason I order online was the lack of any 4 g versions in the Washington, DC area on Tuesday.......free engraving and free shipping was a plus.

I ordered mine on 9-12 got my BLACK nano on 9-15. On line ordering is the best plus it was engraved and charged ready to go. I would call. No problems here!!!!

Are all you guys American?

I'm from Germany and I ordered mine yesterday online since the shops I went to/called/written in my (larger) area all told me that it wouldn't be available til like end of octobre.

My Order says "Order Processing" and will be shipped on 26th or sooner. How reliable is that? I don't have any experience with the Apple Online Store yet, so I don't know how much I can trust them 🙂

I ordered the Nano Tubes as well however via amazon.de, since Apple told me they won't be available via their site for 4-6 weeks. Does anyone know if the clear one is crystal clear?

Since you've all been so kind, I'd like to award myself the dummy award! I mentioned in the earlier post that the nano came fully charged with the proper date and time setup for my area. Duh! It was fully charged but the date and time came from its setup when I plugged it in to the computer! Guess the excitement just got the better of me. 🙂

I ordered my nano from Apple.ca on 2005/09/08 with free shipping and engraving. Shipping date was planned for 2005/09/15.

On the morning of 2005/09/16, I got an email stating that my iPod would be sent on 2005/09/27.

3 hours later, I got confirmation of shipment with delivery time set for 2005/09/21.

This is not the first time it happens, so I decided to stop trying to understand.

I ordered my nano sep 8,shipped sep 11 from hong kong. checked tracking on the tnt website on wed 14 and it said "Consignment Received At Transit Point" in arnhem,holland and its said that ever since, anyone else having this problem its very frustrating having it that close and it not going anywere.
