Gaming on iMAC 20" 2.4GHz 2008 Model

Hello,

I normally run WoW, WArcraft 3 and Starcraft on my MAC. I was just wondering if Call of Duty 4 will work on it too? I have it on the PS3 but I do prefer computers over consoles.. The reason I'm asking is because Aspyr have a reputation of providing recommended specs that still are too weak for the games.

20" iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.4), 2.4GHz, 1GB RAM, HD2400XT

Hello, I have been browsing the topics around and found only this that could have some relationship with my problem.
I have Call of Duty 4 but it freeze when I am playing. It happened in both OS, XP and Leopard.
When it happens, the image freeze and the audi still runs. But nothing else happens.
Force quit doesn't work and the only thing left is to hard re boot.
OS is up to date so it is the game.
Anyone had or know someone that have the same problem?

I want to buy an iMac too, I don't want to spend a lot of money though! After my school discount I have narrowed it down to only the first three iMacs, but I really would like to stay closer to the first two price wise. My main question is how you like your iMac because I heard that it heats up fast, the screen is clear but not crystal clear, and the graphics limit what you can run. I really don't need a 24" monitor which is almost as big as my tv. I thought I would get the first choice and upgrade it to 320GB HD and 4GB of RAM. Also, this would be my first time with a Mac I currently have a Compaq Presario AMD Sempron(tm) 3200+ 1.8GHz with 3.43GB of RAM and 150GB HD, I would say that it is close to four years old and any more upgrade I would have to get a new motherboard:( I has slowed down a lot, programs take a while to load, and it is slow switching back and forth from windows. Mainly I use my computer for school, listening to music, playing with the Sims 2, and messing around with Adobe After Effects CS3. I want to know if you think that If I upgraded the first one will it be able to run AAE, the Sims 3 when it comes out, smoothly with no problems, or is it worth spending the money customizing a computer somewhere else? I know I wrote you a book but if you can let me know I would appreciate it!!!!
