I don't want to create proxies.... sometimes

We have an archive system that makes proxies and I want to just bring them into FCS by themselves, without any proxy creation or transcode, but still a searchable asset. I need proxies on my other content, but I want to skip proxy creation for these "already proxy" assets on a specific device. Any ideas or thoughts?

MacBook Pro 2.33 GHz, Mac OS X (10.5.5)

Unfortunately Final Cut Server creates jpeg, poster, and clip proxies no matter what. For now there's no way around it.

Hi All,

WARNING: It is possible to turn clip proxy creation off in the Administration Pane in FCSvr by changing the transcode settings. But, if you turn the transcode setting to None it will upload the Primary Representation twice, using one of them as the proxy - thus filling up your proxy volume quickly and duplicating your media.
