Ive had this ipod for under 2 years. I was using it and the sound cut out. I tested my headphones and they are not the problems. I did the 5R's and the sound did come back for about 20 seconds and then it cut off. It plays and runs find, the sound is the only problem.
What could it be?
This is the second ipod that has crashed on me. First the mini with its battery problems and now the video with the sound problem, each under 2 years. This has hinder my outlook on apple.
One common failure that seems to be a design flaw is with the logic board and the troubleshooting step is to play the iPod and then squeeze the lower right corner area of the iPod HARD with your fingers. If you get sound back, that is the issue.
