Power Supply Led goes off randomly

I am a MacBook Pro user. OS X 10.4.11.

Since quite some time I have noticed that mainly after putting the computer to sleep, the Power Adapter Led goes OFF. The adapter is firmly plugged into the wall outlet and this seems not to be the issue.

After I unplug it and plug it back, it starts to glow green.

Is it a serious issue? If that is normal, I don't care about it, but if that is a serious issue, I'd rather want it fixed.

Advices?

Well, warranty expired. If that does not destroy the battery, I don't care much.

No replacement program for such issues? batteries had some replacement for some standard well known problems...

Another problem is the place I live. It's not easy to get the Apple resellers and dealers doing something in your favor, but I'll give it a try once I know how serious that is.

Thanks for the replies so far!
