CD icon missing

CD icon missing

When I have finished burning a CD and go to eject it, the icon is not there on the side of iTunes. I hide iTunes and the icon for the disk is not on the desktop. The only way to eject the cd, other than the paperclip trick, is to restart the machine. Then the icon shows up. Any ideas?

iBook G4, Mac OS X (10.5.5)

I'm not sure why it is there. If your computer has an eject key in the top right corner of the keyboard you can eject the disc by pressing it. If it does not then try holding F12 down for a while to see if that ejects it.
