Problem with time formats

My Date & Time formats on the International window read am/pm. The time suffix on the menu bar reads am/pm (eg. 12:34 pm).
Yet when I insert the time on a Pages word processing document, the suffix is always AM or PM.
I do not want capitalisation. I want lower case. How can I change this annoying default setting on Pages?

As far as I know, the two strings are defined at system level, not in Pages.

It's an other annoying behavior.

We define am & pm in the Preference pane but the beast continue to use AM & PM.
We define every date format to display year with four digits but the beast continue to default to a two digits year.
