This copy of iTunes is corrupt or is not installed correctly.

This copy of iTunes is corrupt or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes.

This is the message I receive after installing iLife 08. I tried reinstalling iTunes twice, still won't work. I finally went to the iTunes web site and downloaded the software, installed it and now it works. Is it possible the iLife DVD is corrupt?

Just did a second install (Family Pack) and same problem! I would expect this with a cheap software provider, but not from MAC! Will try to return the DVD to the Mac Store this afternoon.

The version of iTunes on the iLife DVD could be out of date. Apple is constantly updating their software.

As iTunes is a free d/l from the internet and you have access then just d/l most current versions of iTunes and Quicktime that way.

If the other programs on the iLife DVD are ok I wouldn't worry but you can always make the trip and see if they have an explanation or if they will replace the DVD.
