I'm having issues maintaing my mapped network drive from Windows XP clients (SP2&SP3). I can browse to the server then choose the folder and map the network drive. It is completely accessible unless I log out/reboot. Then when I log back in and try to access the drive I get the following error:

An error occurred while reconnecting X: to \\10.x.x.x\share
Microsoft Windows Network : The local device name is already in use.
This connection has not been restored.

To get around this, I've created a shortcut to the server on the desktop and then all of the users folders are accessible once they click there. But this doesn't help when users would like to just save an open document to that drive.

Background:

The clients are DHCP with the following subnet: 255.255.254.0
The server is Static with the following subnet: 255.255.255.0

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.2), Windows XP (SP2&SP3) Clients
