iPhone SDK - Detecting Airplane mode

Working on an app that needs to detect if the phone is on and prompt the user to turn Airplane mode on - Couldn't see in the SDK where to detect the status of the phone / airplane mode..

Can anyone point us in the right direction - thanks.

Another option would be to check for network availability. Doesn't tell you if Airplane mode is on but does tell you if they can connect to a network. That's a decent approximiation... just depends what you're needing to know for.

I'm 99% sure it's not possible. Submit an enhancement request to Apple.

Look at the Reachability example app. It doesn't detect airplane directly but it does check to see if you can access the outside world via the phone or WiFi.
