Keychain password problem when importing .pfx certificate package

Thanks in advance for help (although I'm only 1 solved for 3 posted so far so seem to have a record for stumpers).

I am trying to import a root certificate inside a .pfx file into my x509 Anchors in Keychain.

I am asked initially for the .pfx file password (no probs) and, next, for my Keychain password (because "Keychain Access wants to use keychain 'x509Anchors'." - which is interesting since I have already unlocked the x509 Anchors).

This leads directly to my problem: it won't accept any password I enter. I have tried the .pfx password, my account password...I've even had my company's IT admin who set up the laptop try HIS password.

After three incorrect guesses, I get an error dialog: "CL INVALID_FIELDPOINTER".

I have tried the Keychain first aid feature but it detects no errors.

Thanks for the response, BDAqua, but that doesn't solve my problem.

1. .pfx files are encrypted so I can't "View Certificate" (it has no ability to ask for the password in View Cert so can't view the content).

2. I understand that the Keychain password may not be the same as my password. However, we have tried every possible password, including blank. It can't have made one up on its own! (I hope!)
