HOW TO PUT ARTIST NAME & SONG TITLE ON CD

I MADE A PLAYLIST FROM A CD THAT I BORROWED AND THENI BURNED THAT PLAYLIST TO A NEW CD BUT WHEN I PLAY THE NEW CD THE ARTIST NAME NOR THE NAME OF THE SONG SHOWS UP ON MY STEREO READOUT BUT THE ORIGINAL CD DOES SHOW UP WHEN I PLAY IT. HOW CAN I ENTER THE ARTIST NAME AND SONG SO IT WILL COPY ONTO THE CD AND READ ON DISPLAY EITHER ON THE HOME STEREO OR IN THE AUTOMOBILE?

When burning the CD did you select the CD Text option?

same problem here...burned CD from iTunes 8 on my desktop, all songs/artists were listed, burned CD successfully, except when placed on my laptop ALL TRACKS ARE JUST NUMBERED...and yes, CD text was checked, but that is just for CD display info, correct?...How do we get the songs/artists ON the burned CD?...

I'm having the same problem. I'm using iTunes 7. I had an audio cassette digitially transferred into AIFF files, imported them into iTunes, titled them, added artwork, and burned the playlist to CD. But when I tried opening the CD on a different computer with iTunes, all the titles were gone, replaced by the generic Audio CD and Track 1, Track 2, etc. (And of course the artwork was gone too.)

I don't see an option for CD Text. When I looked for that phrase in the Help menu, it said to go to File –> Export Song List, but there is no such option. There is an export option that exports a text file of your song titles and other info to a document on your desktop, but I don't see how that would help.

Please help! :O

The CD Text option is not what you think it is. Unpopular CD's, home made compilations or simply CD's that have not had their info submitted to the CDDB will not show up in your itunes.

I found this inconvenient and disturbing as well when i researched the issue and if someone can prove me wrong please do so. I have disc replicated professionally and it would be embarrassing if I didn't know how to do this straight out of the burner...

Itunes and Toast can submit your info for you...
