apple id changes on ipod touch when connected to another computer

When I connect my ipod touch to another mac to charge the battery and then eject it and go to the apps store and download an app it changes my apple ID to the persons ID of that computer. Is there somewhere in my ipod touch I can change the ID without having to connect it to my computer again?

Power G5 & Powermac G4, Mac OS X (10.4.7)

I suggest iTunes NOT be launched on the computer you use only to charge.

I'll walk you though it step by step and let me know if you get lost. I have an Ipod touch the first model it is 8GB and is running 2.1 software. When I click on the apps store icon and find an app to download i click install and a pop up says" iTunes Password then underneath it has my iTunes ID or apple ID and a place for me to enter my apple ID password."

When I plug my ipod into someone else's computer so I can charge the battery it changes the apple ID on my ipod touch. If they open iTunes while my ipod is charging it changes my apple ID to theirs.

So my question is: Is there a way to stop that other than not opening Itunes at all? and Is there a place in my ipod touch setting I can change the apple ID?

When you sync your iPhone or iPod touch with your computer, the account last used to access the iTunes Store from the computer is synced to the mobile device for use in the iTunes Store from the device as well. This same account is used for the App Store as well. This account will be used on the device for both stores until you sign in from your computer to the iTunes Store with a different account, and then resync your mobile device with the computer. Prevent automatic syncing one time: Open iTunes. Then, as you connect iPhone to your computer, press and hold Command-Option (on a Mac) or Shift-Control (on a PC) until you see iPhone appear in the sidebar.
