Connecting Monitor to iBook G4 - Resolution

Hello
I connected my Samsung SyncMaster 920n 19'' to my iBook G4 but i am not able to set it's native resolution which is 1280 x 1024 ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ
I read in iBook G4 User's Guide this: "Note: Your iBook G4 doesn't support external display resolutions above 1024x768" ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

But everything looks so huge on my monitor with this kind of resolution.. ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ And i was wondering if there is anything that i could do to set it's native resolution.. any workarounds.. or hacks.. ?

iBook G4, Mac OS X (10.5.5)

no, there are no workarounds. you have to use it at supported resolution or get another monitor.

I've never had to put my system to sleep. I just plug in the external monitor and it uses the previously configured settings. Unplug the monitor and all windows on the other montior get moved to the iBook's monitor (or at least a corner of the window).

It has been years since Screen Spanning Doctor was installed on my system, so I don't know if I did an initial reboot or not. I know it has been rebooted a lot since then, but those had nothing to do with Screen Spanning Doctor, rather those were for software updates, etc...
