Loose keyboard cover

Hi there,

My apple care finally ran out on my PB so I'm looking for a cheap and safe fix. The keyboard cover (or at least the piece of metal that surrounds the track pad) is coming loose on on side and popping up. When the PB starts heating up, it seems like it's getting looser and looser.

Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it?

Thanks.

Ok.. I've had problems where my Trackpad won't move the mouse correctly when the computer it cold / warming up, but that's because the chassis is warped.

To solve my problem, one person on here recommended I put a penny under the side that was higher in order to stop the wobbling... :-/ I'm not too happy about it, but there's not much I can do. I don't think it's Apple's fault, more the iCurve I used (which

Sorry I can't help much with your problem, and I know this might not help you much in the immediate, but you might want to think of replacing the whole Upper Case of your 12" (check out iFixit and click on Case Components : http://www.ifixit.com/Categories/Aluminum-12-Inch/53 )

Or go to a local Apple Store and see what they have to say....

Thanks for trying anyways! Looking at the link, I guess it would be more accurate to say that it's the palm rest area that's popping up.

The penny under the warped chassis seems ingenious. Mine doesn't wobble but I had a warped working surface for a while and I found that if I propped up the back of the PB with a thin notebook, the wobble goes away and it had the added bonus of getting air to circulate underneath so that the bottom didn't overheat.
