What does Authentication failed mean?

When I tried to publish iWeb on my new domain with mac I tried to visit the site but I was directed to the Administrator Login in page where I thought I entered the right information, but apparently I didn't. I tried several things and I think I am just lost on how this works. I'm sure there is an easy answer, I just can't find it. Help!
