ADC to DVI - Cable or Apple Adapter?

Have DP-PP G5 - one monitor already hooked up to the DVI out need to hook up a second monitor. After research on the 'net my choices seem to be:

1) Apple DVI to ADC Adapter for $99 (a little less elsewhere)

or

2) male/male ADC-DVI cable see it here: http://www.svideo.com/adcdvi5.html

Question: which is better? With the adapter I will need a DVI cable as well. So $99 plus cable cost. I'd prefer to get the cable and save $$ plus clutter but don't know if the image will be as good. I'm not a graphics pro but I do like to have the best image possible.

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

all the best...
