Internet won't work - Internet failed, Server failed
My internet worked fine until a few weeks ago. I'm in college and I get ethernet access directly from my wall, which I run to my computer. Out of nowhere it stopped working. I hadn't unplugged anything or done anything new. I restarted, unplugged the ethernet and plugged it back in, and ran the diagnostics. It recognizes the ethernet cord (and gets a green light), but when I run the diagnostics through the network settings, it comes up with a green light for the first three items on the Network Status list, but for internet and server, it comes up red and says failed. I can't access anything online. I know it's not my ethernet cord or provider because if I plug a router into the wall, I can get wireless access, but it's slower and not as good. I want to get it back to the old way.
Can someone please help me figure this out?
