How to subscribe to local podcasts

Hi,

I created a script that generates an RSS file for local mp3 recordings of radio shows. The plan is to subscribe to this file with iTunes. However, iTunes does not allow me to subscribe to local addresses and always adds "http://" to the local address.

Does someone know, how to subscribe to RSS feeds that are not on a webserver?
