iPhone hidden files - viewing the files you can't see

oes anyone know a way to be able view the hidden files on an iPhone 3G. Maybe via sFTP or something. I'd like to access structure and files of my 3G iPhone running the latest 2.1 update, like any temporary or un-needed files I might want to clear out, etc. plus I'd just like to see what's there.

Is this possible? and will I need to do something to my phone that could ruin it?

Thanks for your help!

You can only do this by hacking the phone, which voids your warranty.

are you certain this is the only way? I'm not saying you're wrong, but someone recently told me of an app called PhoneView and I thought there was an app in the apple store that allowed this to some degree but I can't recall where I heard or saw this. I'm gonna try to find this PhoneView app and I'll let you know, however it may not be what I'm looking for.

Thanks for your help.
