How to import a JPEG image Sequence?

Greetings,

I have a 720p timeline. I have folders full of pictures. I am told these folders full of pictures are called JPEG IMAGE SEQUENCES. Each picture is a frame of video pretty much.

How do I import / bring in this folder full of pictures in to my 720p timeline so that it functions as a clip?

Also I should mention that I am working in 720p30.

QuickTime Player.

File > Import Image Sequence. Save and import the result into FCP.

If you go into your settings and set your still frame duration to one frame you can drag a folder of images onto your timeline and it will act like a full length shot. It can tend to slow down Final Cut but it's worked for me in the past.

You can always place it on a timeline, export that as a quicktime, then re-import the clip if it's too clunky to work with the image sequence on your timeline.

Heck yeah!

Why bother with a few mouse clicks when you can do it by messing around for ten minutes instead?

I would never recomend to deal with image sequences using any of Apple software. They just don't have options needed. If possible, convert image sequence to MOV using Adobe After Effects.
