X1900 XT Monitor wont wakeup after sleep

Hello,

i've got a X1900 and a Samsung 21" and a Toshiba 37 LCD. My monitors wont wakeup if they werent powerd on BEFORE the macpro resume out of standby!

If this happens I have to sleep my mac power on the monitors and than the signal will come right back on wakeup the mac!

My Toshiba LCD is connected via HDMI->DVI its like russian roulette! Sometimes I'll get a signal and image and sometimes i have to reboot/sleep-Wakeup thousand times before i get one... 😟

Anybody has the same problem?

I have been having this same issue for weeks now. I called Apple and their only solution thus far was to zap the PRAM by powering down the machine unplugging the power cord and peripherals for 1 minute then restarting. It helped for few days, then right back to not waking up unless I restarted then put my machine asleep then waking it until my displays awoke.

The pre-2008 model has an SMC RESET button, far more efficient and reliable but it is in the rear hidden by drive sled #4.
