Tamil character "க" in missing in Tamil99 supplied with Mac OS X 10.5

On my 10.5.5, with Tamil99, க is on the h key. ஹ is on Shift + r.

I am mystified how your install could be different.

If your Tamil99 really does not work, I could send you the .keylayout and .txt files from mine to see if that would fix it. (You can email me at tom at bluesky dot org).

Have sent the files. Let us know if replacing those fixes it.

Did you go to System/Library/Input Methods/TamilIM and do Control + Click to open the package and get to Contents/Resources?

After replacing the files, go to system prefs/international/input menu and uncheck the Tamil IM. Then restart the computer, then check the Tamil IM again.

Do you have any Tamil fonts other than the InaiMathi.ttf that comes with OS X?

That is really strange. Could you send me an email in which you just hit your h key (with the layout set to Tamil99) a few times?

Also create a new user and see if you have the same problem when logged into that account.

Now it's working perfect. ** i dont know how my TamilIM application file can be corrupted? or it's Apple's problem?

Good news! I have not heard of anyone else having a problem with Tamil99 input in the year that 10.5 has been available, and mine works right. How it could have gotten messed up on your machine remains a mystery.
