Applications quit when trying to print

Applications quit when trying to print

Any application that I open and click on file > print, the application quits. I have never experienced this before. I did download an update to the printer I have and I did run the verify/repair disk permissions. Someone please help me with this issue.

Mac Mini, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

I would try a few things in this order:

*1. Run Safe Boot:*

*2. Run Combo Updater:*
Intel: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/macosx_updates/macosx10411comboupdat eintel.html
PPC: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/macosx_updates/macosx10411comboupdat eppc.html
*3. Run an Archive and Install:*
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1710

Be sure to have any vital information backed up before you get to #3.
