Imovie quits unexpectedly

I've used my macbook for about 6 months and when I try to record from the build in camera, the program shuts down..any ideas?

What version of iMovie are you using? Same question for Quicktime.

You may want to reinstall the update for your version

or maybe even use the previous version...

Were you ever able to record?

Exactly when does the crash occur? When you open the Import window, when you click record (it asks you to choose an event) or sometime during recording?

I too have had my macbook for about 6 mos and have recorded many times with the built-in iSight, with only occasional program crashes.

Hi there, thanks for the response..when I try to import from the built in camera, it use to turn on and record fine. I actually recorded something from it about a week ago, no problem. I got a call from applecare and they said to re-install imovie08. I tried that, but no luck yet. The photobooth feature works, so I don't think it's hardware. I might try to import from a camcorder to see if that works...
