There's two ways:

1) Via Bluetooth:

Go to *Main Menu > Organizer > File manager > Camera album* on the phone

Highlight the picture you want to transfer and chose *Options > Send > Via Bluetooth* the choose your computer from the list of devices. You can send multiple files by choosing the *Mark > Mark several* option and then sending them all.

2) Via USB:

Connect the phone to the Mac and choose *Mass Storage* from the *USB modes* menu that appears on the phone. The phone memory and memory card will mount on the desktop, then you can manually drag 'n' drop files in the Finder to transfer them.

I haven't got bluetooth on my mac, so I need to use the usb cable which came with my Sony Ericsson phone in order to connect to my mac. I have connected my Sony phone using the cable and choose mass storage option which instantly mounts phone and memory card onto my desktop.

But when I try to drag the pictures from the memory card, it doesn't seem to copy. It just hangs, saying estimated copy time... I've left it for ages and it didn't copy. I have downloaded isync software which hasn't helped. I have also downloaded some cable software, which hasn't helped either.

My only option at the mo is to use a pc to transfer the files or borrow a mac which has bluetooth facility as that works, but I would much prefer to be able to use my G4.

Please advise.

The officially recommended and supported by Apple USB Bluetooth Adapter is the D-Link DBT-120, although as its quite old this can be hard to find nowadays (and pricey).

A list of other known compatible and not compatible USB adapters is here:

I've heard positive reports about the *Edimax EB-DGC1* linked on the page above. It's £10.99 from Play.com and is Bluetooth v2.0 so will be faster for file transfers.

Also available from Play.com for £8.99 is the Sitecom CN-512 which I use on a Mac at work so can confirm that it works fine.

No drivers are needed for these on a Mac, so its just plug it in and go.
