Scrolling issues, pages 'glitch' or 'tear' - How many affected?

I have the same problem.

I tried the demo machine at the shop and it also had the same problem so I didn't exchange my macbook.

Other than SAFARI I haven't seen the problem with other programs though, so I'm hoping an update can easily fix this.

Also, I'm not sure how many people are actually noticing this. I've had 2 people using Safari for few hours and neither of them said a word about it.

I don't know if this is the same issue, but especially when I am scrolling with two fingers, the black and blue text glows on a white background and any thin lines (especially gray or black dividers) all but disappear. The text also fades to a light gray and all but disappears. I have this problem in Safari, Firefox, Pages, Numbers, etc.

I came to the Genius Bar but the other MacBooks (early 2008) all have the same behavior/issue/problem. Is this a driver issue or an OS issue. It does not seem to be as bad in Fusion with Windows but I do not have a BootCamp partition on which to test and compare.

Is this what you all are experiencing or is this a different issue? Is it correctable? How do we contact Apple about this?

I saw the glitch/tear mentioned in an article reviewing the Nvidea graphics chipset. It was mentioned this could probably be taken care of via an OS or driver update.

Yep, I'm noticing it too, mostly when two finger scrolling in Safari. Not very happy with it!

got the same problem here. but it didn't appear right from the start.
i own my book since early november, but the tearing appeared for the first time today.

strange problem... will there be any fix?

The author seems to think the scrolling thing is an easy fix.

I think it's universal, but no big deal to me. Videos, movies, etc. look fine.

When I bought mine I noticed this and went to an Apple store. Every display model of the new design (MB and MBP) showed the same .. and the Apple tech saw it, too.

Old model MBPs on display did not show this phenomenon. And I think heat has nothing to do with it.

After six weeks I no longer notice it -- like the continuous ringing in my deaf ear I don't hear unless I think about it (oops, now I have!)

Heat was a separate issue not related to the scrolling glitch.

Add my name to the list - except I have the MacBook Pro.

It drives me nuts.

It's most noticeable in Safari. I can barely notice it in Firefox.

Neither my other MBP nor my Air do it.

I have observed the tearing/scrollling issue in Safari and in Word 2008 on my MB Unibody 2.4Ghz. I can clear it in Word if I scroll around a bit more but cannot clear it in Safari. Firefox does not exhibit this phenomenon.

I am having the glitch/tear issue in safari, pages, and numbers.

I just got this computer for chrismas. And The issue didn't start until 2 days ago.

Has anyone resolved this???? Apple or otherwise????? Or do I have to go to the Apple Store and demand a new one.

Are there any specific websites in Safari that exhibit this behavior more than others? I have a week 41 2.4ghz Macbook and I've never had any graphical glitches since I bought it in Oct.
