Adobe Fireworks slow on iMac 2.66, 2gb ram, ati2600

hey everbody
Adobe Fireworks starts normals quickly, but when i use
blur tool, erase or painting its to slow... sometimes CPU goes to 100% and i'm not working...
photoshop runs normals, but i need and prefer fireworks,,
any poor PC with widows runs fireworks better

i tested fireworks 8, cs3, cs4.

anyone have problems with this software on iMac with Ati video card?

iMac 2.66, Mac OS X (10.5.5), iMac 2.66, 2gb ram, ati 256mb

Just before CS4 was announced I installed FW CS3 (along with PS, DW, and FL) for a trial run and it runs very fast on my machine. Can't offer any explanation as to why it would be slow on yours.

your video card is ATI? is intel iMac? did you tested Blur tool, erase, paint??
if you can test any fireworks please tell me more...photoshop is ok.. fireworks starts up quickly but use this tools cause slow down..
