How to watch HD Movies

Hi all

If I don't want to buy and Apple TV, and I just want to purchase a movie from iTunes to watch on my HD TV, what is the best option? I suppose I can plug my MBP straight into my TV right? Which would be the best image quality option?

And what about the sound?

The following are my TV's inputs.

1 x Composite video/audio output ( RCA phono x 3 ) - Rear,
1 x S-Video input ( 4 pin mini-DIN ) - Front,
2 x Composite video/audio input ( RCA phono ) - Rear,
2 x Audio line-in - Rear,
2 x HDMI ( 19 pin HDMI Type A ) - Rear,
2 x Audio line-in ( RCA phono x 2 ) - Rear,
2 x Component video input ( RCA phono x 3 ) - Rear,
2 x S-Video input ( 4 pin mini-DIN ) - Rear,
1 x Composite video/audio input ( RCA phono ) - Front

thanks,
J
